Accident Details
The aircraft, a Grumman AA-5 registered as UR-DCJ, was conducting private circuit flights near the Kamianka airfield in Dnipro. On board were a pilot and a flight instructor. During a takeoff at a true altitude of 30 to 40 meters, the engine failed. The flight instructor, who was piloting at the time, initiated a left turn with a steep bank. The aircraft subsequently struck the ground at a steep angle, leading to a post-crash fire.
Consequences
Both the pilot and the flight instructor died as a result of the accident. The aircraft was destroyed. The technical investigation has been completed, and the National Bureau of Air Accidents Investigation (NBAAI) has released the final report.

The investigation focused on the engine failure and the subsequent maneuver. However, the final report does not state a probable cause for the accident.
