What happened

During an enroute phase of flight, the pilot encountered heavy snow falls that necessitated a decision to execute an emergency landing. While on approach and subsequent touchdown, the single-engine aircraft struck an obstacle on the ground. The impact caused the airframe to come to rest in a damaged condition. Following the incident, there were no reports of injuries among those on board.

Findings

The aircraft was subsequently transported back to Noorduyn for assessment and repair efforts.
