What happened
On the day of the accident, a flight departed from Nepalgunj at 12:30 local time, destined for Jumla. Approximately 35 minutes after takeoff, the crew encountered an unforeseen emergency during the flight. In an attempt to manage the situation, the crew initiated an emergency landing procedure into an open field.
During the descent, the aircraft struck an earth bank before coming to a final stop in the vicinity of Chilkhaya village. The impact resulted in the total destruction of the airframe. The accident resulted in two fatalities among the crew, while all 9 passengers sustained injuries.
