What happened
A training flight involving two pilots, consisting of an instructor and a student, departed from Strausberg Airport at 11:00 local time. The flight itinerary included several maneuvers, beginning with a series of touch-and-go landings at Neuhardenberg Airport between 11:12 and 11:25. Following these maneuvers, the crew proceeded to Eberswalde-Finow Airfield to finish additional training exercises.
At 11:48, the aircraft returned to Neuhardenberg Airport, where the crew completed an approach and departed the airfield circuit shortly thereafter. While the aircraft was cruising at an altitude of 1,300 feet, the crew encountered weather conditions characterized by drizzle. During this period, the aircraft entered an uncontrolled descent and struck an open field situated approximately 7.9 km northwest of the airport. The impact caused the aircraft to disintegrate, resulting in two fatalities.
