What happened
On a flight traveling from Bangalore-Hindustan Airport to Cochin, an aircraft departed from runway 27 at 15:14 local time. The flight was operated with one pilot and three passengers on board. Approximately six minutes after the initial takeoff, the pilot communicated that the aircraft was experiencing technical difficulties and decided to perform an emergency landing back at the airport.
During the attempt to return, the aircraft entered an uncontrolled descent. The plane impacted the ground in the lakebed of Gawdanapalya Lake, situated roughly 9 km southwest of the departure airport. The impact resulted in the total destruction of the aircraft and caused four fatalities among the occupants.
