Incident Overview
A single-engine aircraft, operating a local skydiving mission, crashed into the sea near Granville, France, after the skydivers had exited. The accident occurred on final approach to Runway 07 at Granville-Bréville Aerodrome.
Flight and Accident Details
The aircraft departed from Granville-Bréville Aerodrome for a skydiving flight. After all skydivers had left the aircraft, the pilot reduced altitude to return to the base. While on final approach to Runway 07, the aircraft went out of control and crashed into the sea, only a few dozen meters offshore.
Rescue and Recovery
A sailor quickly reached the scene and evacuated the pilot, who was slightly injured. The aircraft sank to a depth of 5-6 meters. The wreckage was recovered the following day and pulled onto the beach. The aircraft sustained damage beyond repair.

The investigation is ongoing to determine the circumstances of the accident. No official probable cause has been stated by the investigating authorities.
