What happened
A twin-engine aircraft departed from Manaus-Aeroclub de Flores Airport, originally destined for Barra do Garças. The flight was operated with a crew of one pilot and one passenger on board. During the flight, the pilot altered the flight plan, redirecting the aircraft toward Sorocaba.
While performing the final approach to Sorocaba-Bertram Luiz Leupolz Airport, the aircraft struck trees and crashed into a forested area. The impact occurred approximately one kilometer before reaching runway 18. The weather conditions at the time of the accident were reported as good. The crash resulted in the total destruction of the aircraft and two fatalities. No fire was reported at the site of the wreckage.
