What happened
On the date of the incident, a twin-engine aircraft was performing an arrival at Hermosillo-General Ignacio Pesqueira Garcia Airport. Upon completing the landing phase and making contact with the runway, the aircraft failed to maintain its centerline. The plane drifted off the paved surface and subsequently collided with a perimeter fence.
The impact caused the aircraft to come to a halt on its belly. Despite the severity of the excursion, all individuals on board were able to evacuate the wreckage without sustaining any injuries. The incident resulted in zero fatalities and zero injuries.
Findings
The aircraft sustained damage that was classified as beyond repair. The primary factor in the accident was the loss of directional control following the touchdown on the runway.
