During a training flight near Konstantinovka, an aircraft rolled left and crashed into the ground after three circuits, resulting in one fatality and serious injuries to the instructor.

What happened

The incident occurred while the crew was conducting an instruction flight in the vicinity of Konstantinovka. The objective of the sortie was to evaluate the aptitude of the student pilot for licensure. After completing three circuits, the aircraft was in the process of preparing for landing when it began to roll to the left. This uncommanded movement caused the airplane to descend rapidly and impact the ground approximately 600 metres from the airfield perimeter. Upon collision with the terrain, the airframe burst into flames.

The accident resulted in one fatality, as the pilot was killed in the crash. The instructor sustained serious injuries during the event.
