What happened
During a local test flight intended to verify the performance of an engine following a recent overhaul, an aircraft experienced a sudden loss of power. The pilot, who was the only person on board the aircraft, attempted to execute an emergency landing to manage the engine failure.
However, the aircraft struck the ground in an open field situated approximately 6 km northeast of Dmitrievskaya. Upon impact, the aircraft caught fire and was completely destroyed. The pilot sustained serious injuries during the accident.
