Incident Overview
A crew conducting a crop spraying flight in Băleni was applying insecticides to fields. While transitioning from one field to another, the aircraft flew over a road at an altitude of approximately three metres. The crew failed to notice a truck on the road, and the airplane's structure struck the truck's roof.
Loss of Control and Crash Landing
Following the collision, the aircraft became uncontrollable. It crash-landed in a field, came to rest, and burst into flames. A post-crash fire subsequently destroyed the airplane.
Injuries and Damage
Both pilots were injured in the accident. The aircraft was completely destroyed by the fire.
Probable Cause
According to the official investigation, the accident resulted from a loss of control following an in-flight collision with a truck. A contributing factor was the crew's failure to observe potential traffic on the road while flying at a very low height of three metres above ground level.
