What happened
On the morning of the incident, an aircraft departed from Şirna Aerodrome at approximately 08:30 local time to perform a scheduled agricultural spraying mission. Roughly 15 minutes after takeoff, the crew experienced mechanical difficulties related to the engine. In response to these engine problems, the crew decided to perform an emergency landing.
During the attempt to land in an available area of terrain, the aircraft struck a small concrete wall and several bushes. The impact caused the aircraft to come to a stop in an open field. While the aircraft sustained damage that rendered it a total loss, both pilots were able to exit the wreckage uninjured.
Findings
- The primary reason for the emergency landing was the occurrence of engine problems during the flight phase.
