What happened
On a flight intended for agricultural purposes, a single-engine aircraft was performing a positioning maneuver from Berdsk to Mansky to facilitate insecticide spraying over a wooded region. The flight departed Berdsk at 12:01 local time with a crew consisting of a pilot and a mechanic, along with one passenger.
During the transit, the flight encountered worsening weather conditions characterized by low visibility. While flying at a low altitude, the plane struck trees and crashed into a forested slope on Mount Abatova, which reaches an elevation of 747 meters. The accident occurred approximately 40 km east of Krapivninsky. The impact and a subsequent fire completely destroyed the aircraft. Search teams located the wreckage at an altitude of 541 meters the following day. All three fatalities occurred during the accident.
