What happened
During a flight traveling from Puksinka toward Vagel, an aircraft operating at an altitude of approximately 300 meters experienced a sudden loss of engine power. In response to the mechanical failure, the crew initiated a descent to lower their altitude and attempted to perform an emergency landing.
During this maneuver, the aircraft struck several trees and crashed within a forested region situated near Shaburovo. The impact left the wreckage suspended in the treetops, roughly 2 meters above the forest floor. While there were no fatalities, the 13 occupants (consisting of 3 crew members and 10 passengers) sustained various injuries, which occurred primarily while exiting the aircraft by jumping from the wreckage. The aircraft was determined to be a total loss, being damaged beyond repair.
Findings
Investigations into the incident identified that the engine suffered from power loss due to unidentified mechanical issues. Additionally, it was determined that at the time of the accident, the aircraft was operating in excess of its maximum takeoff weight (MTOW).
