What happened
During a flight operating between Puksangia and Vagel, an aircraft flying at an altitude of approximately 300 metres experienced a sudden loss of engine power. In response to the power loss, the crew initiated a descent to a lower altitude to attempt an emergency landing.
During the descent, the aircraft struck trees and crashed within a forested region situated near Shaburovo. The impact left the aircraft suspended in the treetops, roughly 2 metres above the earth's surface. While the aircraft sustained damage that rendered it a total loss, all occupants managed to exit the wreckage. The 13 survivors (comprising 3 crew and 10 passengers) sustained various injuries, which occurred primarily while jumping from the elevated wreckage to the ground.
Findings
- The primary factor leading to the accident was the loss of engine power during the flight phase.
