What happened
During a cargo operation from La Paragua to Canaima, an aircraft experienced a mechanical failure involving one of its engines. The incident occurred approximately eighteen minutes after the flight had departed from its origin. Following the loss of engine power, the crew initiated an emergency descent to lower the aircraft's altitude.
In an attempt to perform an emergency landing, the aircraft impacted the ground approximately 23 km northwest of Canaima. The impact resulted in a crash landing that caused the aircraft to be damaged beyond repair. Despite the severity of the impact, both pilots managed to exit the wreckage and were reported to have escaped the accident uninjured.
