What happened
On the morning of the accident, a twin engine airplane departed from Valle de la Pascua Airport at 06:46 local time, bound for La Carlota-General Francisco de Miranda Air Base. During the transit, the crew communicated their position at an altitude of 7,000 feet at 07:22 local time. Shortly after this transmission, all radio contact with the aircraft was lost.
Following the disappearance, a search operation was conducted. The wreckage was located the next day at 17:00 local time in a region characterized by hilly and wooded terrain. The debris field was situated between Mt Izcaragua and Mt Meregoto, approximately 18 km northeast of La Carlota Airport. The impact resulted in the destruction of the aircraft and the death of all three occupants.
