A twin-engine airplane departed Valle de la Pascua Airport for La Carlota; contact was lost at 7,000 feet. Wreckage was found the next day in hilly terrain northeast of La Carlota Airport, with all three occupants killed.

Accident Details

The twin-engine airplane departed Valle de la Pascua Airport at 0646 local time on a flight to La Carlota-General Francisco de Miranda Air Base. At 0722 local time, the crew reported the aircraft's position at 7,000 feet. Following this report, contact with the aircraft was lost.

Wreckage Discovery

The wreckage was located the following day at 1700 local time in a wooded and hilly area between Mt Izcaragua and Mt Meregoto. The site was approximately 18 kilometers northeast of La Carlota Airport. The aircraft was destroyed in the accident.

Casualties

All three occupants of the aircraft were killed.
