Accident Description
A twin-engine aircraft encountered difficulties while taking off from Ione Airfield. According to the investigation, the pilot did not abort the takeoff and the rotation was performed too late. The aircraft subsequently struck a dirt bank before crashing at the end of the runway. The impact destroyed the aircraft. The pilot sustained fatal injuries, while three passengers were injured.
