What happened
During an unauthorized flight originating in Colombia and destined for the United States, a twin-engine aircraft crashed in the hilly, forested region near El Gallito. The flight was being conducted at a low altitude when the aircraft struck trees, leading to a total loss of the airframe. There were three fatalities among the occupants of the plane.
Upon arrival at the crash site, authorities discovered significant quantities of illicit cargo, including one ton of cocaine distributed across various containers. Additionally, investigators recovered firearms and substantial amounts of currency from the wreckage. The aircraft, identified by the registration N572L, is believed to have been using a fraudulent identification.
