What happened

On the flight path between Cabo San Lucas and Mexico City, a twin-engine aircraft with registration PF-507 experienced a sudden, uncontrolled descent while at cruising altitude. The aircraft went down in the El Refugio area, located approximately 50 kilometers west of Guadalajara. Upon impact, the plane caught fire and was completely destroyed.

The flight was being operated on behalf of the Federal Secretary's for Public Security. There were three fatalities recorded following the accident, as all occupants on board perished in the crash.
