What happened
During an approach to a private airstrip situated in the vicinity of Santa Catalina La Tinta, a twin engine aircraft impacted the ground approximately 300 metres before reaching the runway. The impact resulted in the total destruction of the airframe. There were six fatalities recorded among the occupants of the aircraft, with no survivors reported.
At the time of the accident, the area was experiencing adverse meteorological conditions. The flight was operating amidst heavy rainfall and low cloud ceilings. Additionally, reports indicated that thunderstorm activity was present throughout the entire flight path.
