What happened
A charter operation departing from Medellín-José María Córdova International Airport ended in a fatal accident during the night. The twin engine airplane took off at 22:48 local time, bound for Cali.
Shortly after beginning its initial climb, the aircraft experienced a loss of control. The plane subsequently crashed in the vicinity of El Retiro, situated approximately 13 km southwest of the departure airport. The impact resulted in the total destruction of the airframe. There were eight fatalities recorded among the occupants, with no survivors reported from the crash site.
