Incident Overview
On 16 June 2011 at 0830Z, a Cessna C210 Centurion, registration ZS-ETX, operated by Falcon Trust, was involved in an incident during a private flight. The aircraft was landing at a private strip at Opikoppi farm in the Lephalale area. The pilot, the sole occupant, was not injured.
Sequence of Events
During the landing roll after touchdown, the left main wheel struck a patch of loose gravel. This caused the pilot to lose directional control, and the aircraft veered left off the gravel strip. The left wing then collided with a row of thorn bushes, causing the aircraft to swing further left. During this sequence, the right wing hit the ground before the aircraft came to a stop.
Damage and Injuries
The aircraft sustained minor damage. There were no injuries to the pilot.

At the time of the incident, weather was reported as surface wind 360° at 5 knots, temperature 20°C, and good visibility.
Probable Cause
The probable cause of the incident was loss of directional control after the aircraft hit a patch of loose gravel.
