What happened
During the takeoff phase, two aircraft collided in mid-air. The incident involved a Stirling and a Misrair Avro Anson with the registration SU-ACX. The impact caused both planes to lose control and crash to the ground. As a result of the collision and subsequent crashes, both airframes were destroyed.
The Avro Anson was carrying one pilot who was killed in the accident. In contrast, all three crew members aboard the Stirling survived the initial impact but sustained injuries. The event resulted in one fatality and multiple non-fatal injuries among the personnel on board the two aircraft.
