What happened
On 1 October 2025, at approximately 10:50 UTC, a Jedsy X drone was conducting a technical flight in Kesselsdorf, Germany. The aircraft, operated by Delivery Glider AG, was performing a mission under drone operation flight rules when it experienced a sudden loss of engine power. This failure led to a total loss of control over the unmanned system. During the uncontrolled descent, the drone struck a building, causing minor damage to its roof. The aircraft was destroyed upon impact.
The investigation
The Swiss Transportation Safety Investigation Board (SUST) noted the occurrence of the accident involving the Swiss-manufactable drone. While the incident took place on German territory, the investigation into the technical failure and the sequence of events is being handled by the German Federal Bureau of Aircraft Accident Investigation (BFU). There were no injuries reported to any persons on the ground during the event.
