What happened
During a flight originating from Potosí, the crew initiated a descent toward Runway 05 at Sucre-Juana Azurduy de Padilla Airport. The approach was conducted under favorable meteorological conditions. Upon making contact with the runway at a speed of approximately 50 knots, the aircraft experienced a sudden deviation to the left. This maneuver resulted in a 90-degree left pivot, causing the plane to exit the runway surface.
The aircraft traveled roughly 50 meters off the paved area before entering a ditch characterized by rocky terrain, where it eventually came to a stop. Despite the impact, no fire broke out during the incident. All 10 occupants were able to evacuate the aircraft without injury.
Findings
While the specific mechanical or operational reasons for the deviation were not detailed, the aircraft sustained damage that rendered it beyond repair.
