What happened

Shortly after departing from the Mérida-Alberto Carnevalli Airport, an aircraft entered a fatal descent while attempting to climb. Approximately seven minutes following takeoff, the plane made contact with trees and subsequently crashed within a heavily wooded region on Mt Paramo Los Conejos. The accident occurred roughly 17 km north of the departure airfield.
