What happened
During the final stages of flight, the aircraft was operating with an incorrect approach configuration. Upon touchdown, the plane reached the runway at an excessive speed, which resulted in a bounce during the landing roll. Following this impact, the pilot lost control of the aircraft, causing it to veer off the prepared surface.
As the aircraft exited the runway, it struck various obstacles before finally coming to a stop. Despite the severity of the excursion and the significant damage sustained by the airframe, there were no injuries reported among the occupants. The impact was severe enough that the aircraft was declared a total loss, being damaged beyond repair.
Findings
- The primary factor contributing to the accident was the incorrect approach configuration maintained prior to landing.
- The high speed at touchdown contributed to the loss of directional control and the subsequent bounce.
