What happened

During an approach to Novgorod Airport, the flight crew encountered severe weather conditions characterized by heavy fog and visibility levels that were below established minimums. While on final approach, the aircraft descended beneath the Minimum Descent Altitude (MDA). During this descent, the plane collided with the roof of a printing house. The impact caused the aircraft to crash into a three-story residential structure, which subsequently caught fire. The collision resulted in the total destruction of both the aircraft and the building.

All six people on board the aircraft perished in the accident. Additionally, the crash claimed the lives of five individuals located within the residential building, bringing the total death toll to eleven.
