What happened
Following its arrival at Rostov-on-Don Airport, a three-engine aircraft experienced issues maintaining its position on the runway during the landing roll. The aircraft failed to come to a halt within the available runway length, leading to a runway excursion. During the overrun, the aircraft's landing gear was torn away from the airframe. The sequence of events concluded when the plane collided with a concrete wall, eventually coming to a stop approximately 870 meters beyond the end of the runway.
Findings
- The aircraft sustained damage that rendered it a total loss.
- All 10 occupants on board were able to evacuate the wreckage without sustaining any injuries.
- The primary factor in the accident was the inability to stop within the remaining runway distance.
