The pilot's misjudgment of speed and distance, which resulted in an overrun of the runway. Contribution factors are the pilot's inadvertent landing at the wrong airport with a shorter runway than his intended destination and limited braking effectiveness resulting from the wet runway condition.

April 24, 1997AccidentHull loss
Upon touchdown at Bronson Creek Airport, the right main gear collapsed. The right wing struck the runway surface and out of control, the aircraft veered off runway and came to rest in a grassy area. All three occupants escaped with minor injuries while the aircraft was damaged beyond repair. Probable cause (official findings): It is believed that the bolts attaching the right horizontal gear support to the main wheel failed upon landing.

June 29, 1982AccidentHull loss
Upon landing on a gravel runway at Wollaston Lake Airport, the left main gear collapsed. The airplane came to rest on its left wing and was damaged beyond repair. Both pilots escaped uninjured. Probable cause (official findings): Failure of the left main gear upon landing for unknown reasons.
