Aeromexico to launch Mexico City–Milan route in March 2027

Aeromexico plans a new long-haul service connecting Mexico City to Milan Malpensa, pending government approval, operated with Boeing 787 Dreamliners.

Aeromexico has announced plans to begin nonstop flights between Mexico City International Airport and Milan Malpensa Airport starting in March 2027, according to the airline. The launch remains subject to approval from relevant government authorities.

The route is expected to be flown using Boeing 787 Dreamliner aircraft, a type the carrier has been expanding within its long-haul fleet. Aeromexico recently took delivery of its 25th Dreamliner, which the airline said supports its broader push to grow international service.

Milan would become the airline's second destination in that country, according to the announcement, reflecting a continued expansion of Aeromexico's presence in European markets. Further details on flight frequency, scheduling, and ticket availability have not yet been disclosed.

The proposed service would add to Aeromexico's existing transatlantic network, though the airline has not specified additional routes or timelines beyond the 2027 target date. As with any new international route, final approval from aviation authorities in both Mexico and Italy, as well as slot allocation at Malpensa, would need to be secured before the service can commence.
