Air Sénégal purchases Boeing 737-800 previously leased from GetJet
Air Sénégal has acquired a Boeing 737-800 that it had been wet-leasing from GetJet Airlines, adding the aircraft to its owned fleet.

Air Sénégal now owns a Boeing 737-800 for the first time. The 19-year-old aircraft, previously registered LY-SEI in Lithuania, had been leased from GetJet Airlines since late May. The Senegalese government purchased it.
The Boeing seats 174 passengers, 12 in business class and 162 in economy. It will fly medium-haul routes. The purchase is meant to cut the airline's reliance on wet-leased aircraft. At the end of 2025, Air Sénégal also ordered nine Boeing 737 MAX 8 aircraft and took options for six more.
