airBaltic reports record nine-month traffic, September passengers flat
airBaltic carried 474,000 passengers in September 2026, little changed from a year earlier, while its nine-month total reached a record 4,040,800. Load factor slipped as capacity grew.

airBaltic carried 474,000 passengers in September 2026, which the Latvian carrier says was essentially level with the same month a year earlier. It flew 4,387 flights, up 2.5% on September 2025.
Load factor was 79.4%, against 80.9% a year earlier. The published numbers show a fall of 1.5 percentage points; the airline puts the decline at 1.6 points and attributes the difference to capacity expansion.
For the first nine months of 2026, airBaltic reported a record 4,040,800 passengers, 3.5% more than the same period in 2025. Flights rose 5.3% to 37,607.
Over the period the carrier added seats faster than passengers, leaving a smaller share of them occupied than a year before.
