Royal Air Maroc signed an agreement with Boeing at the Marrakech Air Show on Thursday to refurbish the cabins of all seven of its Boeing 787-8 Dreamliners.

The work includes new-generation seats and a completely replaced inflight entertainment system, plus activation of Starlink internet connectivity on the aircraft. The new seats will give passengers more space.

Naoual Ait Hammou, the airline's director of air operations, said the refurbishment is intended to bring the older 787-8s up to the cabin standard of the carrier's more recently acquired aircraft. The seven aircraft were delivered between 2014 and 2016.

Cabin work will be timed to coincide with the switch-on of Starlink connectivity. Royal Air Maroc has said it plans to roll out Starlink across 41 aircraft from 2027.

The airline operates 13 Boeing 787 Dreamliners in total, seven 787-8s and six 787-9s. Its overall fleet now stands at 71 aircraft.
