Alaska Airlines to grow Paine Field network from spring 2027
Alaska Airlines plans a 50% increase in seats at Seattle Paine Field by summer 2027, adding an Everett–San Jose route and boosting frequencies on four existing services.
Alaska Airlines will add 50% more seats at Seattle Paine Field Airport by the summer of 2027, the carrier said.
From the spring, Alaska will connect Everett, Washington, with San Jose, California. Horizon Air, the regional arm of Alaska Air Group, will fly the route twice daily.
Four existing Paine Field services will also grow. Los Angeles and Portland, Oregon, will each move to twice-daily frequencies, and the airline will add capacity on its San Francisco and San Diego routes. Flights to Los Angeles will be flown with larger Boeing 737 aircraft.
Andrew Harrison, Alaska's senior vice president and chief commercial officer, said Paine Field is an important part of the airline's Puget Sound network and gives passengers a simpler way to reach its West Coast flying. He said the growth adds seats, frequency and travel options for customers in Snohomish County, North Seattle and the surrounding area.
Alaska already flies from Paine Field to Honolulu, Las Vegas, Phoenix, Santa Ana and Palm Springs.
