American Airlines Donates 9/11 Artifacts to Memorial Museums

American Airlines is donating more artifacts from its 9/11 collection to the National September 11 Memorial & Museum in New York ahead of the 25th anniversary of the terrorist attacks. The airline's CR Smith Museum holds over 1,000 objects, including memorial blankets, letters, and a flag passed from cockpit to cockpit after the attacks. American Airlines is also providing financial support to the Never Forget Fund and the planned visitor and education center at the Pentagon, where items from the collection will be displayed. On September 11, 2001, American Airlines Flight 11 and Flight 77 were among the aircraft hijacked.
