Argentina's Joy Airline delays launch and halts ticket sales

Argentinian start-up Joy Airline has postponed its launch and suspended ticket sales. The first flight had been scheduled for 30 September.

The airline says the delay is due to technical adjustments to its booking system and a rework of its fares. It follows criticism of its high introductory prices.

Joy Airline plans a base at Jujuy airport, with twelve weekly flights to Buenos Aires Aeroparque and seven to Córdoba. It had originally aimed to start flying in the spring. No new date has been given.

Regulatory steps are also still outstanding.
