Austrian Airlines adds 100 flights for autumn holidays and expands winter sun routes
Austrian Airlines is adding 100 flights during Austria's autumn school holidays and extending several summer destinations into the winter schedule, while temporarily suspending some North America services.
Austrian Airlines plans 100 extra flights for Austria's autumn school holidays at the end of October. Some summer destinations, among them Ibiza, Fuerteventura, Funchal and Split, will stay in the programme longer. Palma de Mallorca gets eleven extra flights and Larnaca 13.
Long-haul sun routes grow too, starting with the winter timetable on 25 October. Malé and Mauritius will each be served up to seven times a week at peak times. During the February semester holidays, Malé rises to as many as ten weekly flights. Bangkok is scheduled for 14 weekly flights in January and February.
To free up capacity, Austrian will temporarily suspend selected North America connections from 11 January, including Chicago and Boston, and New York-JFK from 23 January.
