Avianca to resume seasonal Guatemala City–San Francisco route for winter 2026/27
Avianca will relaunch its seasonal service between Guatemala City and San Francisco this winter, operating four times weekly with A320neo aircraft from its Taca subsidiary.

Avianca plans to bring back its seasonal route linking Guatemala City with San Francisco for the 2026/27 winter season, according to the routes-tracking outlet Aero Routes.
The service is scheduled to run from December 2 through January 31, with four weekly flights connecting the two cities. Avianca intends to deploy Airbus A320neo aircraft operated under its Taca brand for the route.
This will not be the first time the carrier has flown the pairing. Avianca previously operated the route on a seasonal basis between June and August 2026, suggesting the airline sees enough demand to justify running the connection at different times of year rather than as a permanent, year-round offering.
No further details were provided about pricing, connecting itineraries, or the reasons behind the timing of the winter relaunch.
