Aviation Capital Group has placed its largest order ever: 75 Airbus A320neo-family jets. The US lessor says deliveries will run from 2032 through 2035.

The deal carries conversion rights, so ACG can switch to other variants in the single-aisle family. No engine choice has been disclosed.

As of the end of June, the lessor's fleet held 118 A320neo-family aircraft. Its outstanding orders for the models now stand at 115.

Chief executive Thomas Baker said the company's portfolio strategy centres on new-technology narrowbody aircraft, which he called the most in demand among airlines worldwide. The order, he said, is a statement of confidence in the long-term future of air travel.

Airbus said the agreement reinforces a partnership dating back almost 20 years, to 2007, when the lessor first placed aircraft orders directly with the manufacturer.
