Bermudair will become the second operator of the Embraer E190 F, the freighter conversion of the E190, and the first in the Americas. The carrier is leasing the aircraft from Regional One, according to a report on the deal. That takes Bermudair into air cargo alongside its passenger operations.
Regional One has firm orders for five E190 F aircraft in total. Two have already been delivered.
Bermudair flies two E175s and two E190s, serving ten destinations across the Caribbean, the United States and Canada.
The E190 F offers more than 100 cubic metres of cargo volume across its main deck and lower hold, with a payload of up to 13.5 tonnes. Bermudair intends to use the aircraft for express freight, e-commerce shipments and time-critical transport, among other roles.
