Boeing August orders slow, deliveries edge lower
Boeing's August aircraft orders slowed to 15 jets while deliveries slipped to 51, though year-to-date deliveries remain the highest since 2018.

Boeing took orders for 15 aircraft in August, its slowest month for new orders this year. The total consisted of 13 787 widebodies and two 737 Max jets. The company did not identify the customer or customers.
Deliveries came to 51 aircraft in August, down from 53 in July and below the year-to-date high of 64 in June. The handovers included 42 737s: 41 Max variants and one 737NG for Boeing Defense, Space & Security. Boeing also delivered four 787s, two 777 Freighters, and three 767s, with the latter comprising two freighters and one KC-46 aerial refuelling jet.
Boeing has delivered 418 aircraft so far this year, a figure it said is higher than the first eight months of any year since 2018. No orders were cancelled in August, the first month without cancellations since April last year. The backlog stood at 6,156 aircraft at the end of August, down from 6,192 at the end of July.
