Kepplair Evolution raises €6 million for ATR 72-based firefighting aircraft

Kepplair Evolution has closed a €6 million funding round, part of a €20 million Series A, to develop its ATR 72-based firefighting aircraft.

Kepplair Evolution has closed an additional funding round of €6 million. The French company has now raised €17.5 million since 2024, made up of €12.5 million from private investors and €5 million from public funding programs. This latest round is part of a Series A targeting €20 million in total. The money will go toward development, flight testing, EASA certification, and preparing the Kepplair 72 for series production. Based on the ATR 72, the firefighting aircraft is expected to be certified and enter service in 2027. Its prototype recently completed initial flights before conversion.
