Boeing engineers approve four-year contract, averting strike
Members of the SPEEA union voted 64.11 percent in favour of a new four-year deal on 1 October, heading off a walkout by more than 15,500 engineers and technical staff. A strike would have affected certification work on the 737 Max 10 and 777X.

More than 15,500 Boeing engineers and technical staff will not strike. Members of the SPEEA union voted 64.11 percent in favour of a new four-year collective agreement on 1 October, the union said.
A walkout would have disrupted certification work on the Boeing 737 Max 10 and the 777X, among other programmes.
The contract gives a ten percent pay increase from 2 October, with a further four percent in March 2027. From 2028 to 2030, guaranteed four percent rises follow each March, plus additional selective adjustments.
According to the union, the average annual salary for an engineer rises from 152,000 US dollars to 208,000 US dollars under the deal, and for technicians from 119,000 US dollars to 163,000 US dollars.
