Breeze Airways retires last Embraer E190

Breeze Airways operated its last Embraer E190 flight on Monday, September 7, the carrier said. The aircraft, registered N120BZ, flew from Orlando to New Orleans. With this flight, Breeze now operates only Airbus A220-300 aircraft.

The airline began service in May 2021 with ten E190s and three E195s. Its Embraer jets flew more than 5,000 flights before Breeze took delivery of its first A220 in December 2021.

Breeze has received 55 of the 90 A220-300s it has on firm order, with options for 30 more. The carrier says moving to a single fleet type will lower operating costs and support network expansion. It currently serves more than 300 seasonal and year-round routes to 91 cities.
