Air Cairo orders additional Leap-1A engines for 15 A320neo aircraft
Air Cairo has ordered CFM International Leap-1A engines for 15 more Airbus A320neo aircraft, with options covering 15 additional jets and spare engines.

Air Cairo has ordered Leap-1A engines from CFM International for 15 more Airbus A320neo aircraft. The agreement covers options for engines for another 15 aircraft, along with spare engines. If all options are taken up, the deal could exceed 60 Leap-1A engines.
The Egyptian carrier has flown CFM engines since 2005. It now operates 20 A320neos with Leap-1A engines and 12 A320ceos with CFM56 engines. CFM says it has delivered more than 10,000 Leap engines to date.
