China Airlines signs Liebherr for A350 nose gear overhaul
China Airlines has contracted Liebherr-Aerospace to overhaul the nose landing gear on its 18 Airbus A350 aircraft, with the programme set to run from 2026 to 2031.
China Airlines has tasked Liebherr-Aerospace with overhauling the nose landing gear of its 18 Airbus A350 aircraft. The programme is due to begin in 2026 and run through 2031, according to the two companies.
The agreement covers maintenance work and also includes a gear exchange service, intended to keep the fleet available while the overhaul work is carried out.
The Taiwanese carrier is the first customer in Asia for Liebherr's A350 nose gear overhaul programme. Liebherr-Aerospace Lindenberg developed, manufactured and certified the nose landing gear system for the Airbus A350.
Neither company gave a value for the contract.
