Cologne Bonn Airport pilots digital tool for winter operations

Cologne Bonn Airport has started a pilot project with software company Yetimove to improve its winter operations, according to the company.

The trial involves two products. Yeti Hub gives the airport's operations team a digital model of its winter work, in which clearing routes can be planned, simulated and adjusted. Yeti Driver Assist brings that plan into the field, with live location sharing and real-time instructions on the driver's next task.

Yetimove said the operations team will use the platform to assess how digital tools can support its staff and refine how it clears the airfield. Safe and efficient winter operations keep an airport running, the company said.

Yetimove called Cologne Bonn its newest partner and said it was grateful for the chance to work with the airport's team. Both sides said they look forward to a strong collaboration over the coming winter and into future seasons.
