Copa Airlines restores second daily Panama–Caracas frequency

Copa Airlines will add a second daily frequency on its Panama–Caracas route from 15 September, the carrier said. The airline said the move restores its operating capacity in the Venezuelan capital after a temporary suspension that began following earthquakes on 24 June.

Roberto Pulido, Copa's general manager in Venezuela, said the new night-time frequency comes days after regular operations resumed at Maiquetía. According to Pulido, the increase responds to demand for more departure times and international connections.

Flight CM330 departs Panama at 9:36 p.m. and arrives in Caracas at 12:59 a.m. the following day. The return, CM331, leaves Caracas at 6:35 a.m. and reaches Panama at 8:04 a.m.

The existing daily rotation remains. CM224 leaves Panama at 8:48 a.m. and lands in Caracas at 12:07 p.m., while CM222 departs Caracas at 1:37 p.m. and arrives in Panama at 3:06 p.m.

With the addition, Copa said it has restored all of its routes and previous operating levels in Venezuela. Caracas returns to two daily flights.

The airline connects passengers through its Hub of the Americas in Panama, which it says offers access to more than 85 destinations in the region and more than 385 daily flights. The route links Tocumen International Airport with Maiquetía.
