Cyberattack halts some work at Egide's French aerospace plant
Egide partially suspended operations at its Bollène plant after a cyberattack traced to an external IT provider. The scope of any data exposure is still being investigated.

Egide, a French supplier of aerospace and defence electronics, has partly halted work at its manufacturing site in Bollène, in southern France, after a cyberattack linked to an outside IT service provider.
The intrusion happened on 6 October 2026 and was picked up by that provider, the company said. Egide said systems at the Bollène site may have been affected, and that operations were partially suspended as a precaution.
Technical staff moved to contain the incident and limit its impact. The company brought in outside cybersecurity specialists and is working with the provider involved.
Investigators are still trying to establish what data, if any, was affected, and how far the attack reached. Egide said it has informed the relevant authorities, including the French data protection regulator, the CNIL, and has filed a complaint with judicial authorities.
As of 14 October 2026, no further update had been issued, and a request for comment went unanswered.
The Bollène site is the group's headquarters and its French manufacturing base. Egide makes sealed packages that shield sensitive electronic components from moisture, contamination and harsh conditions. Such parts go into aircraft engine sensors, braking systems, radar, electronic warfare equipment and thermal imaging devices. The company supplies manufacturers in civil and military aviation, and in space programmes.
